In a sector of the industry that is growing year by year, it's necessary to create new strategies to enhance and make more efficient the boat building field. This study aims to design a computer numerical control machine (CNC) with automatic controls for automatized boat building. Besides researching new methods to shape boat models using new codes that are able to optimize and improve the actual process of assembling. It was possible to implement a CNC system compose by a robot (KR90); three sliders and a spindle. The entire plant is controlled by a Programmable Logic Control (PLC). From here it’s able to shape the model of different types of boats previously designed in just one click, using a Computer–Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software. Briefly, it can be compare as a big 3D printer with the only difference that the stock material is modeled and not extruder as happen in the printer. This automated system can fit in different kind of areas because it’s versatility, wherever needed to create models of high or small dimentions. This study highlights the need for systematic investigation in the industrial automatized boats building.
