L'elaborato vuole analizzare le capacità di modellazione 3D e messa in tavola del software FreeCAD. Le possibili evoluzioni e le attuali modalità di utilizzo di FreeCAD sono quindi illustrate in paragone a Solidworks, mediante la realizzazione di alcuni dei più comuni componenti meccanici con entrambi i software.
The thesis has the purpose of analyzing the 3D modeling and drafting capabilities of the FreeCAD software. Possible evolutions and current ways of using FreeCAD are illustrated in comparison with Solidworks, through the creation of some of the most common mechanical components with both software.
