Lo scopo di questa tesi è di analizzare un modello matematico sul ruolo del sistema immunitario nelle distrofinopatie.
Oggetto principale di questo elaborato è l’analisi di un sistema semplificato ottenuto a partire dal modello riducendo il numero delle variabili coinvolte allo scopo di fare uno studio più approfondito per poi analizzare il modello iniziale ed avere un’idea completa dell’interazione tra sistema immunitario e tessuto muscolare.
L’analisi è basata sulla ricerca dei punti di equilibrio di un sistema di equazioni differenziali ordinarie e sullo studio della loro stabilità e suggerisce che la risposta immunitaria contribuisca ai processi di degenerazione e rigenerazione muscolare.
The aim of this thesis is to analyze a mathematical model on the role of immune system in dystrophinopathies.
The main object of this report is the analysis of a simplified system obtained starting from the model by reducing the number of variables involved in order to make a more detailed study and then analyze the initial model to have a complete idea of the interaction between immune system and muscle tissue.
The analysis is based on the search for the steady states of a system of ordinary differential equations and on the study of their stability and it suggests that the immune response contributes to the processes of muscle degeneration and regeneration.
