Riassunto
The aim of this thesis is to develop simulation models of an Electric Environmental Control System, the system used on aircrafts in order to maintain comfortable environment conditions for passengers and crew.
An Electric Environmental Control System architecture, which is installed on board of an all -electric regional turboprop, is analysed in order to estimate the power required by the system.
Two simulation models with different complexity are developed. The first one is a more detailed model based on the object-oriented simulation and it is able to predict the dynamic behaviour of the system. The second one, instead, is based on approximate physic laws and it is able to predict the functional behaviour of the system.
The system is integrated with a cabin thermal model to point up how it can maintain the required temperature.
