Riassunto
With the approaching of the High Luminosity (HL) era at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), feasibility studies become necessary to evaluate the realistic performances that can be expected from the experiments. In particular, it is important to perform an extensive study of the limits that can be set regarding the observation of physical processes that haven't been measured yet. \\
Focusing on the Standard Model (SM), one of the measurements in the aim of HL-LHC is the self-coupling of the Higgs boson.
In this work, we perform a simplified version of the analysis previously presented by the Compact Muon Solenoid (CMS) experiment, taking into consideration a specific decay channel for the Higgs bosons in the highly boosted regime, where the decay products merge into two jets of large radius. We then try to extend the analysis to the HL-LHC scenario, using simulations generated with the use of Flashsim, a novel framework developed in Pisa that employs Machine Learning techniques to allow faster production of Monte Carlo simulations.
