Summary
The aim of this study is principally to trace the evolution of Lady Diana's use of language, over a period of fifteen years. My intention was to show how and to what extent the way of communicating can change through time, occasionally adapting to the different needs of the individual. To analyse Princess Diana's interviews I chose to combine corpus linguistic analysis to multimodal analysis since non-verbal codes often convey additional information beyond that provided by spoken words and multimodal analysis allowed me to define the factors that may affect communication abilities.
