The abstract elaborates the thesis activity conducted at the Lucca plant of Körber Tissue S.p.A carried out in the Sales Administration office.

The aim of the project is to make the information management process, with respect to sales orders management, as efficient as possible using lean manufacturing principles in the information field.
The project is based on three main pillars: digitization, automation of information processes and waste reduction.
The project is the development of previous interventions promoted by the Sales Administration in the same area, this also with a view to disseminating the know-how and best practices developed during the project throughout the organization.
To achieve this goal, the analysis of the existing information structure was of primary importance, planning and prioritizing the interventions with the greatest impact.
The project is concretely developed in three macro-phases of work in which different aspects of the same information structure have been addressed involving tools like SAP R/3, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft SharePoint Designer, DBMS, and web development coding languages.
The first phase deals with an internal process, critical and high added value, which showed technical inefficiencies which were then overcome. The second phase is the construction of operational tools to support the internal work of the Sales Administration. The third phase deals with the development of a possible solution for an interdepartmental information process.
