Summary
La microdissezione con cattura laser-assistita combinata con sequenziamento di nuova generazione applicato alle sequenze RNA di geni trascritti (LCM-seq) può costituire una metodica innovativa oltre che estremamente sensibile e specifica per studiare il microambiente tumorale e gettare le basi per una conoscenza più profonda dei glioblastomi, scoprire la loro origine ed elaborare nuove strategie terapeutiche per contrastarli.
Laser-capture assisted microdissection is a novel histological technique which can be paired with Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in order to obtain genetic tissue from specific components of neoplasms, analyzing even expression profiles (RNA sequences) of single cells. Applying this combined technique to glioblastoma it would be possible to discover new ways to understand its complexity, plan new therapeutic strategies and find out hints about its misterious origin.
