Summary
The heterogeneous surface modification of polypropylene speheres obtained in a spheripol process (PPs), was undertaken via the UV-induced photo-grafting of various vinyl monomers. The goal was to perform a comparative study by means of an efficient, rapid, and economical method suited to modified the PPs surfaces. Then, the active functional groups grafted onto the polypropylene reins, present at the surface, were used for binding water pollutants such as heavy metal ions or organic dyes.
