Summary
Dioxomolybdenum(VI) complexes containing α-amino acids as ligands were prepared and characterized by means of IR and solid state NMR spectroscopy. The formation of these compounds has been extensively studied. The proposed polymeric structure, [{Mo2O4(OH)2(aaH)}(u-O)]n, is supported by DFT calculations. The catalytic activity in the oxidation of cyclohexene by H2O2 in acetonitrile was tested.
