The experimental thesis High frequency ultrasound in Non-melanoma skin cancers aims to examine current ultrasound knowledge and ultrasound technologies for the diagnosis and characterization of typical lesions of non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC). We included in our study 45 patients with NMSC during the period between September 2016 and March 2017. The ultrasound images collected by the Dermatology Department of University of Pisa during that period allow us to observe in detail the characteristics of the various lesions by means of a 70 MHz frequency probes. It was thus possible to compare the imagine obtained with the result of the histologic study after lesion's excission, obtaining important data for orientation on the use of these innovative technologies.
