Summary
After reviewing the wide literature available on family firms, the agency theory, the factors that determine and affect the decision of open the capital structure to new shareholders , I focus on the sell-side of an M&A process. In particular I focused on when a family firm opens its capital to a new shareholder, selling a relevant shareholding.
