Summary
This work, done during a traineeship at IngeniArs srl, represents a relevant step forward in the telemedicine services and the E@syCare product, that is the introduction of a push notification system to allow communication from server platform to client devices. Using this system, it will be possible to implement several innovative features such as medical report delivery, emergency assistance, remote technical support and messaging with the call center or the medical team. First, the characteristics of three systems, Firebase Cloud Messaging, RabbitMQ and HiveMQ are analyzed and evaluated to find which is the best starting point to build the new communication system; then, upon the chosen one (HiveMQ) are designed and implemented, together with an additional authentication service, all mechanisms necessary for the complete fulfillment of application requirements. Finally, the so build E@syCare Messaging system is integrated into the application and tested in real use case scenarios.
