Abstract: The present work concerns the architectural, structural and energetic project of a building used as a sports hall. The project is located in the town of Pontedera (Pisa), and involves the construction of a new gym consistings of two mutually connected steel and reinforced concrete buildings.
The first part of this work shows the structural design: first of all was analysed the steel part, then the reinforced concrete part and finally the foundations.
The structural analysis, conducted in compliance with the current legislation, started with the analysis of the loads, considering both static and seismic actions; subsequently, using the calculation software "SAP2000 v.14.00" have been determined the stress characteristics of the structural elements with which have been done all the resistance and stability tests through the semi-probabilistic method of Limit States, for both static and seismic actions, all consistent with what is indicated by DM Infrastructure January 14, 2008 "New Technical Standards for construction".
The second part of the present work concerns the solar thermal system designed only for domestic hot water production. In particular, were put in comparison two types of solar panels: flat panels and the vacuum collectors.
