Riassunto
Fairclough identifies three levels of critical linguistic analysis:
1. Description of texts.
2. Interpretation of the relationship between text and interaction
3. Explanation of the relationship between interaction and social context.
According to this approach there is a ideology behind a text as a product of the mind of the writer. Even a text as a product is influenced by the power and society, therefore; in analysis of a text all of the factors including ideology behind a text, the interaction of the text and society, culture, power.... should be taken into account.
When someone wants to translate a text should consider all of the factors in production of that text. In that way one can say that this is a successful translation.
The main question in the thesis is that to what extent the different translations have become successful in transferring the covert ideology of the source text, its discursive construction, the socio cultural context that has influence in production of the text.
