Summary
Republican Italy, during the so-called 'Years of Lead', was hit by two main waves of political terrorism: the extreme right and the extreme left. However, in the historical reconstruction of the period from 1969 to 1980 only in relatively recent times has an attempt been made to reconstruct right-wing terrorism, especially in its massacre period, in the light of the complex international links that formations such as Ordine Nuovo and Avanguardia Nazionale had during the Cold War. Using a historical approach based both on literature and on the analysis of judicial acts and personal reconstructions of the protagonists of the variegated world of Italian neo-fascism, this thesis aims to reconstruct, from an international perspective, the work of the Italian extreme right.
