L’elaborato tratta dell’esilio come condizione esistenziale nella vita dell’uomo e, in particolare, nella figura del letterato. Concentrandosi specialmente sugli effetti che questo status ha prodotto in Romania, sono state analizzate le sue ripercussioni in letteratura durante e dopo il totalitarismo comunista di Ceaușescu, soffermandosi soprattutto sull’analisi di due autori: Herta Müller e Norman Manea. Di questi ultimi sono state prese in considerazione alcune delle opere più pregnanti, individuandone le tematiche principali e i possibili collegamenti e contrasti nello stile di scrittura e negli argomenti affrontati. Inoltre, sono state evidenziate le differenze nel reagire e discutere dell’esilio, evento che ha condizionato per sempre la vita e la produzione artistica di questi scrittori.
The elaborate treats exile as an existential condition in the life of men and, in particular, in the figure of the literate. Focusing especially on the effects that this status has produced in Romania, its repercussions in literature during and after the communist totalitarianism of Ceaușescu were analyzed, focusing mainly on the analysis of two authors: Herta Müller and Norman Manea. Of the latter, some of the most significant works have been considered, identifying the main themes and possible links and contrasts in the style of writing and in the topics addressed. In addition, differences were highlighted in reacting and discussing the exile, an event that has forever conditioned the life and artistic production of these writers.
