Il presente lavoro vede come oggetto principale la traduzione del quinto tomo della saga francese a fumetti Silex and the city. Nel primo capitolo sono state fornite le informazioni essenziali alla conoscenza dell’autore e del contesto che ha portato alla stesura del fumetto in questione; è stato approfondito il rapporto testo-immagine nel fumetto e le funzioni che il primo può svolgere al suo interno; è stata presentata una riflessione sull’oralità della scrittura nel genere; in ultimo, si è trattato dell’umorismo. Nel secondo capitolo è possibile leggere la proposta di traduzione. Nel terzo capitolo, infine, si troverà un paragrafo dedicato agli strumenti utilizzati per la ricerca e la traduzione e, in seguito, un commento alla traduzione basato sull’analisi delle principali strategie linguistiche impiegate dall’autore.

The main subject of this work is the translation of the fifth tome of the French comic saga Silex and the City. In the first chapter, essential information is provided to get to know the author and the context that led to the writing of the comic strip in question; the text-image relationship in the comic strip and the functions that the text can play within it are examined in depth; a reflection on the orality of writing in the genre and humour is presented. In the second chapter, the translation proposal can be read. Finally, in the third chapter, there is a paragraph dedicated to the tools used for research and translation, followed by a commentary on the translation based on the analysis of the main linguistic strategies employed by the author.
