Lo studio prende in esame il caso del femminismo sindacale degli anni settanta del Novecento. Il fenomeno, sebbene prenda i natali dal mondo femminista, si colloca su un piano tutto suo. Il femminismo sindacale si articola, infatti, attraverso due componenti, una femminista, l’altra operaia. È proprio questa sua natura ibrida a rendere l’oggetto dello studio tanto interessante quanto sfaccettato. L’importante ruolo da egemone che la classe operaia assume sempre di più nel corso degli anni settanta, porta alcune novità anche tra le donne. Quest’ultime, mosse da un’autocoscienza tutta nuova, vogliono far sì che i luoghi di lavoro si adeguino al loro ingresso. La figura della femminista sindacale nasce come una rappresentanza, come una porta voce dell'altra metà della fabbrica, rimasta fino a quel momento silenziosa.
Nello studio viene fatto un focus su una realtà operaia specifica, quella della Piaggio di Pontedera, industria da sempre improntata in maniera androcentrica. Si cercherà di capire quale ruolo le donne nella fabbrica, ma soprattutto nel sindacato, abbiano rivestito, grazie anche alla testimonianza diretta di alcune sindacaliste.
Per quanto riguarda la Piaggio, si potrà parlare di femminismo sindacale? Lo scopo dell’elaborato è provare a dare una risposta.


The study examines the case of trade union feminism of the 1970s. The phenomenon, although it takes its birth from the feminist world, is placed on its own level In fact, trade union feminism is divided into two components, one feminist, the other worker. It is precisely this hybrid nature that makes the object of the study as interesting as it is multifaceted. The important hegemonic role that the working class assumed during the seventies, brings some news also among women. These, driven by a whole new self-awareness, want to ensure that workplaces adapt to their entry. The figure of the union feminist was born as a representative, as a voice of the other half of the factory, which until that moment remained silent.
The study focuses on a specific worker reality, that of Piaggio di Pontedera, an industry that has always been characterized by androcentricity. We will try to understand what role women in the factory, but above all in the trade union, have played, thanks also to the direct accounts of some trade unionists.
As for Piaggio, can we talk about trade union feminism? The purpose of the paper is to try to give an answer.
