Summary
This work deals with the modelling of the EMA's mechanical transmission for aircraft landing gears, pointing out the effects of nonliearities -such as friction and backlash- on the dynamic performances.
The design and development of electro mechanic actuators are leaded by the neces-sity of cheaper and greener tecnologies. Despite the advantage of having a better efficiency and a minor maintenance respect the hydraulic solution, among the issues of an electro mechanical actuator there is the necessity of increase the electric power generated on board, the needof Energy Managment logics and the need to by pass new failure modes, as the ”Jamming” one, for a correct certification.
