Abstract (Inglese)
Abstract (Italiano)
Sinonasal intestinal-type adenocarcinoma is a rare disease, associated with work-related risk factors, burdened by diagnostic latency and high morbidity and mortality. In the later stages of the disease, therapeutic options are few. Recently, histopathological classification of this disease has undergone review and change in order to better understand its biology; in particular, immune microenvironment is a novel research field with possible diagnostic and therapeutic implications. In this multi-centric work we pooled together clinical data from Pisa and Brescia in order to better understand the histopathological characteristics and prognosis of the different kind of immune microenvironment in this rare disease.
