Summary
This thesis work was conducted at Von Karman Institute under the contract N°16740 stipulated
with European Space Agency ESA. One goal is to collect an exhaustive literature survey. The main articles found about impinging jet on a soil are discussed in time order to let the reader understands its development. The other goal is to obtain experimental data about visibility reduction during jet running. All the data obtained are collected in several plots and discussed.
