Il lavoro svolto si concentra sulla traduzione di un fumetto francese, Silex and the city. Dopo aver illustrato i principali autori che hanno contribuito alla nascita di questo genere letterario, abbiamo approfondito i meccanismi che ne governano la struttura interna come il fumetto, le vignette e le onomatopee. Successivamente si ha una descrizione dettagliata non solo del fumetto preso in esame ma anche di altri volumi appartenenti alla stessa serie, che sarà alla base di un'analisi semiotica e traduttiva del lavoro svolto.

The present study aims at analyzing the translation of a French comics, Silex and the city. The first step is to describe in detail the comics traditions of America, Europe and Japan and then we have analyzed comics' internal structure such as balloons, strips and onomatopoeia. After that we can see a detailed description not only of the first volume of Silex and the city, but also of other volumes of the same series which will lead to a semiotic analysis and a focus on the translation that has been made.
