L'intento della tesi è mostrare le potenzialità didattiche del foglio di calcolo (Excel, fogli Google, ecc.) e incoraggiarne l'utilizzo nella didattica della matematica. Dopo una breve introduzione allo strumento, nel secondo capitolo viene descritto come i fogli di calcolo possano guidare efficacemente lo studente nella transizione fra aritmetica e algebra. Nel terzo capitolo si presentano alcuni argomenti di scuola superiore che ben si prestano all'analisi tramite fogli; quindi si affronta brevemente la questione del coding nelle scuole secondarie. Nel quarto capitolo sono descritte altre possibili applicazioni che spaziano dalla costruzione di modelli ai problemi auto-regolati (con esempi). Infine, nell'ultimo capitolo si raccolgono le conclusioni e i risvolti anche legati all'acquisizione di importanti soft-skills che il lavorare con i fogli favorisce.


The aim of the thesis is to show the didactic potential of spreadsheets (Excel, Google sheets, etc.) and encourage its use in mathematics teaching. After a brief introduction to the tool, the second chapter describes how spreadsheets can effectively guide the student in the transition between arithmetic and algebra. The third chapter presents a sort of guide to high school topics which can be effectively analysed by means of to spreadsheets, and briefly addresses the topic of coding in secondary schools. The fourth chapter describes other possible applications ranging from model building to self-regulated problems (with examples). Finally, the last chapter collects the conclusions and implications also related to the acquisition of important soft skills developed by working with spreadsheets.
