Riassunto
Il seguente lavoro di tesi è volto allo sviluppo e alla realizzazione di una sonda a struttura elicoidale per termoablazione a radio frequenza. Il nuovo elemento progettato e realizzato risolve molte problematiche connesse all’utilizzo delle sonde finora utilizzate come ad esempio quelle del tipo ad ago o Sleeve Dipole.
Abstract
In this dissertation, a novel radiating probe for radiofrequency hepatic tumor ablation has been presented. The design is based on a helicoidally shaped geometry which revealed very functional in circumventing the major drawbacks of existing needle or sleeve dipole probes.
