Summary
This thesis work aims to develop an optimized mechanical test plan for BellaSeno PCL Breast Scaffolds, evaluate the new test plan, performing preliminary test activities on PCL Breast Scaffold worst-case scenarios, define mechanical tests samples size and statistical techniques for further extended study. In addition a study plan was designed to evaluate accelerated degradation of PCL scaffolds, in collaboration with Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Technology and Advanced Materials IFAM.
The results obtained have been evaluated within the company in order to improve the current mechanical test plan and to perform mechanical test activities under ISO 13485 on its PCL Breast Scaffold’s catalogue.
