Summary
De-differentiated papillary thyroid cancer has a rapid growth, a clinical and aggressive progression with a metastatic spread and a loss of radio-iodine uptake ability. Chemotherapy and radiotherapy have modest efficacy while new molecules with a tyrosine kinase inhibitory activity seem to have good anticancer effects in clinical trials. In this review we try to test the efficacy of new molecules with tyrosine kinase inhibitory activity in preclinical studies on primary cultures of the de-differentiated papillary cancer(DPTC).
