Partendo dalle ipotesi teoriche di Orlando sul fantastico, si cerca di comprendere l’origine di questo soprannaturale, le sue peculiarità, la sua manifestazione in specifici temi ed i valori e significati storici, sociali e psicologici che possiede.
Comparative analysis of the supernatural, magical and strange element present in Carlos Fuentes' Aura, Julio Cortázar's Bestiary, Gabriel García Márquez's One Hundred Years of Solitude, Alejo Carpentier's War of the Time, Juan Rulfo's Pedro Páramo and The House of Spirits by Isabel Allende. Starting from Orlando's theoretical hypotheses on the fantastic, we try to understand the origin of this supernatural, its peculiarities, its manifestation in specific themes and the historical, social and psychological values and meanings that it possesses
