Summary
The purpose of this thesis work consists in the optimization of the preparation procedure of an implantable, biodegradable, micro-structured cardiac patch in view of a possibile technological transfer.
The physicochemical, mechanical and functional characterization of the product was performed at different phases of the production process.
The patch was also functionalised with adenosine in order to obtain a patch able to regenerate the myocardial tissue and simultaneously protect from reperfusion injury after myocardial infarction.
