Summary
This work present the analysis and generation of Transverse Electric (TE) Bessel beams using a cylindrical leaky mode generated within a radial waveguide made by an inductive impedance sheet and ground plane. Such a system can support an azimuthally invariant leaky-wave mode whose normal magnetic-field component is a truncated, zeroth order Bessel function. The complex wave number of the leaky mode controls the annular spectrum and the nondiffractive range of the generated Bessel beam. Classical vector potential techniques are used to derive the field within the radial waveguide and to establish the electromagnetic conditions to generate a Bessel beam. A loop connected to a coaxial cable will be used as a feeder for the structure
