Summary
The main goal of the present study is to assess the production capability of 3d printed ceramic materials, although ceramics present extraordinary qualities such as resistance to corrosion and high temperatures their brittleness hinders their potentialities in the engineering field.
In this thesis titanium carbide powder is mixed with alumina and then melted with a laser, the resulting fabricated samples are then subjected to thermal post-processing in order to improve their mechanical strength.
