Studio effettuato su batteri appartenenti alla famiglia Enterobacteriaceae, prelevati tramite diversi tamponi da un esemplare di Caretta caretta presentante lesioni ulcerative su cute, carapace e piastrone.
Successive analisi fenotipiche dei batteri trovati, con focus sui profili di resistenza agli antimicrobici e la sensibilità a determinati tipi di oli essenziali in vitro.
Comparazione tra i dati riscontrati e quelli presenti in bibliografia, con riflessione sul ruolo di questi animali nella sanità pubblica e come indice di inquinamento dei mari.

Study carried out on bacteria belonging to the Enterobacteriaceae family, collected through different swabs from a Caretta caretta specimen presenting ulcerative lesions on the skin, carapace and plastron.
Subsequent phenotypic and genotypic analyses of the bacteria found, with a focus on antimicrobial resistance profiles and in vitro sensitivity to certain types of essential oils.
Comparison between the data found and those present in the bibliography, with a reflection on the role of these animals in public health and as an index of marine pollution.
