Summary
This thesis aims to investigate receptive competence in second language (L2) learning, with a specific focus on adult learners in migratory contexts. The first part of the work is dedicated to the evaluation of the main glottodidactic approaches and the normative and pedagogical references offered by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This is followed by a teaching proposal in which the training needs, the structure of the unit of work, the methodology adopted and the resources used are analysed. The final part is dedicated to the analysis of the malq questionnaire: through this tool, we reflect on the effectiveness of developing metacognitive awareness in L2 leaners.
