Abstract (Inglese)
Abstract (Italiano)
The aim of this work is the implementation of a multifeature Intrusion detection system for CAN bus. As vehicles technologies become increasingly advanced, automated and connected, vulnerabilities of the electronic system inside increase, allowing a wide range of insidious cyber attacks.
To overcome these scenarios, an intrusion detection system is required. The application developed in this study merges two detection system, the Magneti Marelli Light IDS and time fingerprinting algorithm. The merging of these two algorithm is implemented for a specific Infineon device and it aims to increase the detection capability of singles algorithm and overcome their own vulnerabilities.
