Summary
This thesis work has been realized in General Electric Oil & Gas in Nuovo Pignone, Florence. The process analyzed, concerns the Bill of Material configuration and especially the item attribute assignment. Main results are the definition of a dashboard and procedure shared with plants, the increase of tracked defects percent through the redesign of a form used by internal customers in order to raise change attribute requests. Furthermore, following Root Cause Analysis have been defined corrective action and estimated data reveal a decrease of defects. Next steps will be the WF change attribute implementation in Le Creusot plant, a deep analysis of defects causal in order to put in place corrective action and the implementation of a control process in order to manage performance and increase customer satisfaction.
