Summary
This thesis documents the development, application, and validation of travel pattern models based on travel pattern classification. The approach chosen is the microsimulation technique based on Monte Carlo Simulation. The goal was to build daily patterns for individuals based on empirical distributions of representative patterns and distributions of relevant aspects inside each pattern. This thesis offers also a complete overview of the analysis made before the modelling phase.
