Summary
The aim of this study is to examine the effects of climate change on agricultural production for OECD countries between the years 1997 and 2016.
Climate change is a universal problem. Agriculture is one of the sectors most affected by climate change. In the second section of the study, it has been discussed how climate change can affect agricultural production. In addition, various models showing the relationship between climate change and agricultural production were discussed. In the third section, the correlations of the variables which we used in the model with the most recent 10-year available data for 142 countries were examined. It is aimed to show how the variables are correlated in larger data. According to the literature review, we used the Panel data model which is the most efficient model for the study. The study was conducted for 37 OECD countries between the years 1997 and 2016. According to the results, it is concluded that climate change has a negative impact on Real Agricultural GDP and Agricultural Productivity for OECD countries.
