Summary
Network slicing has been identified as a promising solution to provide services tailored for users’ specific QoS demands for 5G networks. Due to the heterogeneity in the use cases, and the increased massive wireless data traffic, an efficient allocation of the resources is required to improve resource utilization and networking performance. In this work, we design and develop an algorithm that provides a dynamic slice allocation of various resources (i.e. bandwidth and latency) based on the network state. The algorithm was implemented using the ComNetsEmu SDN/NFV emulator, and also utilizing the RYU SDN controller.
