This article presents a detailed comparative analysis of pre-packaged food labels in Europe and China, with particular emphasis on the crucial elements of food labeling. It examines the historical evolution of regulations and laws on food labeling in both contexts and analyzes the similarities and differences between their respective regulatory systems. The analysis aims to highlight China's deficiencies in terms of food safety legislation and food labeling regulation, comparing them with those of Europe. The purpose is to propose targeted recommendations to refine the Chinese food labeling system, thus ensuring greater protection for Chinese consumers.
