Technology Road Map is deemed to be one of the most powerful methodologies aiming to support technology management, but the several different approaches available in the scientific literature often lead to this term being used to address other methodologies. Therefore, this master thesis is firstly clarifying the Technology Road Map definition and, subsequently, will show the efforts to achieve the implementation of such a methodology within Electrolux Global Connectivity & Technology group.
Furthermore, an overall characterization of the technologies demonstrated by the Technology Road Map methodology will be provided.
Finally, an approach aiming at the identification of the gaps occurring from the current situation to the desired scenario will be presented, together with the activities required to bridge the identified gaps, addressed to the specific function responsible for carrying them out.
