Summary
the main purpose of this work was to analyze the VAT issue in general, to study the problem of tax evasion in Italy and to provide different ways of contrasting this uneconomic phenomenon.
we have focused on the problem of tax evasion which appears to be much more complex than we imagined.
According to our study, despite the various measures adopted by the government to combat this phenomenon, we have been able to observe that, even though in recent years they have made it possible to recover large sums of money evaded, there is still no 100% safe method for counter it.
it seems very obvious to ask the state to reduce tax rates, but this alone cannot be sufficient to solve this problem because the reduction will have a negative impact on tax revenues, and this will deteriorate the quality of the level of public services provided.
Various solutions have been proposed, but the government alone will not be able to solve this problem; citizens, we must equip ourselves with a sense of civic duty and greater responsibility.
