Summary
The topic dealt with in this thesis concerns the increase in Care-Related Infections in patients with Covid 19 admitted to the ICU. After a first part of the analysis of the scientific literature, where the HAIs and their characteristics are examined first, then the Sars-Cov2 disease and its manifestations and finally the type of patient admitted to intensive care is described, especially in the case of positivity to the Covid 19, this growing phenomenon is confirmed. Then follows a brief description of a personal experience in the Covid Intensive Care Unit of the Livorno Hospital with analysis of the data collected. Finally, an analysis of the cause-effects that emerged after this research is carried out through the Ishikawa diagram and a strategic management experimentation project is proposed to reduce the rate of HAIs in patients with Covid 19 admitted to ICU, using the methodology of the Lean Healthcare.
