Summary
In this work, we implemented a method to allow fast and intuitive evaluation of aortic hemodynamics using Reduced Order Models (ROM). We investigated polyhedral meshes to optimise the computational cost of the model. A parametric 3D profile was prescribed at the inlet to allow simulation of different aortic valve configurations, given that valve type greatly affects the results of the calculation. Then, we built the reduced model from a training dataset through interpolation methods. Finally, we carried out a quality assessment of the ROM and calculation errors have been evaluated for the quantities of interest.
