Negli anni è cambiato il modo di gestire l’azienda, ciò è conseguenza diretta del contesto in cui opera la stessa. Da sistemi di tipo tradizionali si passa a sistemi moderni di tipo ERP, caratterizzati da un’elevata presenza tecnologica.
L’evoluzione dei sistemi informativi ha visto il succedersi di diverse fasi, si transita infatti da modelli MRP a MRP II ed infine a sistemi più evoluti come gli ERP. In merito a quest’ultimi è possibile fare delle distinzioni su cui successivamente avverrà la scelta della soluzione più adatta per l’azienda, ad esempio rispetto alla natura degli stessi la scelta potrebbe ricadere tra ERP a pagamento oppure Open Source.
Il tema dei sistemi informativi riveste oggi per l’azienda un ruolo fondamentale, è necessario dunque che esso venga compreso all’interno della stessa al fine di garantirne l’implementazione e il corretto funzionamento nel tempo.

The evolution of information systems has seen a succession of different phases, from MRP models to MRP II and finally to more advanced systems such as ERP. With regard to the latter, it is possible to make distinctions that will subsequently lead to the choice of the most suitable solution for the company. For example, with regard to the nature of these systems, the choice could fall between paid ERPs or Open Source.
The subject of information systems plays a fundamental role for the company today, and it is therefore necessary that it is understood within the company in order to guarantee its implementation and correct operation over time.
