La tesi prende in esame la tradizione diretta normalmente attribuita all'Inaco di Sofocle: P. Oxy. 2369 (= Soph. F 269a-b Radt) e P. Tebt. 692 (=Soph. F 269c-e Radt). I frammenti sono oggetto di un commento dettagliato, con testo e apparato critico, e a una generale revisione papirologica. Si discute anche la questione della paternità sofoclea di entrambi, nonché quella del loro genere letterario: tragedia o dramma satiresco. In un'appendice, è trattato il tema collaterale dell'autenticità del Prometeo Incatenato.
The thesis examines the direct tradition normally attributed to Sophocles' Inachus: P. Oxy. 2369 (= Soph. F 269a-b Radt) and P. Tebt. 692 (= Soph. F 269c-e Radt). The fragments are subject to a detailed commentary, with critical text and apparatus, and a general papyrological review. The question of Sophoclean authorship of both fragments, as well as of their literary genre (tragedy or satyr drama) are dealt with. The collateral question of the authenticity of Prometheus Bound is dealt with in an appendix.
