Riassunto
During the last years, a lot of different biophotonic approaches and devices has been developed. While some of them were successfully introduced into hospitals and are used daily like pulsoxymeters, OCTs or Lasik systems, the majority of them failed. So the first step of this thesis is to create a market survey of devices based on biophotonic approaches which are used in the daily routine in hospitals and discuss and identify the reasons why these devices are successfully used. The discussion contain economical, quality, usability and technical aspects. In the second part of the thesis, the acquired knowledge has been applied to three biophotonic sensor being developed at the “Lehrstuhl für Photonische Technologien” at Friedrich- Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg that are: 1. Felix Tenner: sensor for optical tremor analysis with speckle imaging technique 2. Martin Hohmann: development of new hyperspectral video endoscope approach 3. Rajesh Kanawade: in-vivo monitoring of epithelium vessel and capillary density for the application of detection of clinical shock and early signs of cancer development In particular, for each sensor has been analysed what requirements regarding costs, usability, size the systems have to fulfil to have a chance for success. Based on this, possible technical solutions about one of this instruments, have been proposed which enable the sensor to fulfil these requirements.
