Riassunto
In this thesis we will present an optical Motion Capture system that takes advantage of active markers. The tracking is done by using infrared LEDs driven by a microcontroller, and by Optitrack's optical tracking system. Each marker has a unique lighting pattern that allows unique identification. We will describe in detail the implementation of this system, with the strengths and the problems encountered. We will also analyze the various Motion Capture techniques and the solutions currently available, comparing them with the proposed solution. We will finally show the results obtained and talk about possible future developments.
