Questa tesi presenta una panoramica delle assemblee nei regni romano barbarici, concentrandosi poi in maniera più specifica per quanto riguarda il regno dei Longobardi. Verranno considerati i principali regni romano barbarici, come quello dei Visigoti, dei Franchi, della penisola scandinava, ed elencate alcune tipologie presentate dalle fonti. Infine verrà trattato il gairenthix attraverso l’analisi delle leggi longobarde, e il sistema delle assemblee all’interno di questo regno.

This thesis presents an overview of the assemblies in the Roman barbarian kingdoms, then focusing more specifically on the kingdom of the Lombards. The main Roman barbarian kingdoms will be considered, such as that of the Visigoths, the Merovingians, the Scandinavian peninsula, and listed some types of assemblies presented by the sources. Finally the gairenthix will be treated through the analysis of the Lombard laws, and the system of assemblies within this realm.
