Riassunto
Bipolar disorder is a risk condition for the development of addiction. More and more studies are highlighting how, in addition to the traditional substance abuse (alcohol and drugs), new substances such as coffee and nicotine and also some behaviors such as pathological gambling and food addiction can represent new risk behaviors to be taken into consideration both in the general population than in the one with psychiatric pathologies. Therefore the purpose of this study is to describe these behaviors in a population of patients with bipolar disorder and to investigate a possible vulnerability matrix underlying the development of addiction through the analysis of personality traits by the big five model and adult elements autism subtreshold spectrum.
