This work focuses on the study of infrared radiative transfer in planetary atmospheres under non-LTE conditions (non - Local Thermodynamic Equilibrium). In the higher part of all planetary atmospheres the vibrational levels of molecules depart from their equilibrium populations, strongly modifying the atmospheric optical properties. The study is applied to the analysis of CO emission in Titan's atmosphere.
